Review Date: 01/2026Mid lemon and lime. Something very slightly smoky on the nose, before the white fruit emerges. Slight citrus boiled sweet here, lean and tense, very much upper hillside. Drink from 2029-2033. Tasted Oct 2025.

The 2024 Puligny-Montrachet La Garenne 1er Cru has much more intensity than the Village Cru, as you would expect, with light yellow fruit, beeswax and apricot scents. The palate is fresh on the entry, brisk acidity, strict and linear with a slightly curtailed finish. Fine, but a bit serious and uncompromising.(NM)
