Review Date: 01/2026A luminous green edge to the colour. Rather a fine nose, very much Montagny in style, to some extent chiselled but with more than adequate flesh behind on the palate. White fruit with the extra tension, crunchy stones on the palate. Drink from 2027-2029. Tasted Oct 2025.

The 2024 Montagny 1er Cru offers green apple, gooseberry and light nettle notes on the nose. I would have just liked a little more vigour, though it is well defined. The palate is nicely balanced, with a slight oiliness on the entry. Slightly lower in acidity than other cuvées and, for me, this does not quite kick on towards the finish. Early drinking.(NM)
