2024 Domaine Frantz Chagnoleau Pouilly-Fuissé "Pastoral"

This superb Pouilly-Fuissé boasts aromas ranging from grapefruit and mandarin to green apple and gooseberry, with a note of acacia flowers and a hint of flinty minerality. The texture is lively and fresh but not lacking depth. The grapes are from two parcels in Vergisson: one faces south, the other north; both are planted with 60-year-old vines. The former is fermented in demi-muids; the latter in 228-litre barrels. Ideally, give this five to 10 years in the bottle before opening.(CC)
