2024 Domaine Frantz Chagnoleau Viré-Clessé "Les Raspillières"

Creamy and dense yet balanced, offering aromas of ripe pear, white flowers and a hint of spice. The grapes are from a steep 0.71ha vineyard, the highest in Viré, and just up the slope from those for Frantz Chagnoleau's Mâcon-Villages. They are pressed as whole clusters, fermented, and aged in large older oak barrels to produce this elegant, ageable wine.(CC)
