Review Date: 02/2024The 2021 San Saba Vineyard Pinot Noir comes from the home vineyard and the clones are 26% 828, 25% Pommard 4, 25% 777, 14% Swan, and 10% 115. Pale ruby-purple in color, it delivers evocative notes of kirsch, black raspberries, and cranberries with touches of garrigue and damp soil. The medium-bodied palate has great tension and savoriness, with spiced red berry flavors and a fine-grained texture, finishing with plenty of zip. (LPB)

The 2021 Pinot Noir San Saba Vineyard is striking. Bright, aromatic and full of punch, the 2021 delivers tons of savory flavor intensity in its deceptively mid-weight frame. Crushed red cherry fruit, rose petals, mint, chalk and white pepper abound. This layered, delineated Pinot hits all the right notes. Impressive. (AG)

Sour cherry, oregano, marjoram and bay leaf aromas make for an engaging nose of fruit and herb on this bottling from a vineyard just below the Santa Lucia Highlands. The palate snaps with strawberry and raspberry flavors that are cut by the eucalyptus leaf and wild sagebrush impacts. (MK)
