Guerrieri Rizzardi traces its roots to two historic Veronese families whose estates were unified in 1914, bringing together vineyards in Bardolino, Valpolicella, and Soave. The estate’s centerpiece is the 15th-century Pojega property in Negrar, home to terraced vineyards and the famed Italianate garden. Rizzardi farms each zone according to its soils, from the morainic slopes of Bardolino to the limestone of Calcarole in Valpolicella. Amarone production focuses on careful appassimento in airy lofts, followed by long aging in large casks to preserve purity and spice. Bardolino and Soave emphasize freshness through gentle pressing and cool fermentations. Across the range, the estate leans on traditional varieties and site-specific vinification to express classic Veneto character.
