Wine Spectator
Review Date: 12/2013A modern style, offering intense, powerful flavors of roasted plum, dark cherry and kirsch, with boysenberry. Asian spice, cream and dark chocolate accents that are very rich, leading to the long and muscular finish which exudes a concentrated spiciness.

Review Date: 12/2012
A blend of 80% Grenache, 12% Syrah, and 8% Carignan that spent 18 months in 30% new French oak, the 2010 Orin Swift Vin de Pays des Côtes Catalanes D66 is decidedly ripe and mineral-laced, with loads of baked cherry, cinnamon stick, scorched earth, roasted herbs, and chocolate like aromas and flavors. Starting out completely closed and unyielding, it opens up over the evening and gains additional freshness, as well a rocking texture, excellent concentration, and chewy, rustic tannin (that has a touch of bitterness) that emerge on the finish. Playing in the ripe, rugged, yet mouth filling and rich style, it will not be for everyone, yet it is certainly well done and had me pouring another glass.
