2009 Herzog "Wildcat Mountain Vineyard" Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (Kosher)
Notes
Herzog Wine Cellars operates today in Oxnard as the largest fully kosher winery in the United States, producing roughly 250,000 cases with fruit sourced across California. The modern facility opened in 2005 and supports a full production team led by winemaker David Galzignato, with in-house control over cellar work, cooperage choices and grower relationships. The current operation sits on a long family arc that began in Vrbové, Slovakia, where Phillip Herzog earned baronial status after supplying wines to the Austro-Hungarian court. The business survived war, confiscation and postwar flight before Eugene Herzog rebuilt the family’s wine future in New York, eventually leading to the California expansion that anchors the winery’s work today.
