Burghound
Review Date: 01/2008A subtle trace of crushed herb, anise, clove, dark berry fruit and warm earth merges into rich and round yet beautifully detailed medium-bodied flavors that display a supple mid-palate and a sappy, mouth coating and firm finish that offers excellent length. Very solid quality here and the close proximity to Musigny is evident in this example.

Notes
Frédéric Magnien works with carefully selected parcels across Chambolle-Musigny, including the Les Borniques site. Here, limestone-rich soils and a cool continental climate shape a more delicate, perfumed style of Pinot Noir. The wine reflects this terroir with finesse, precision, and a clear sense of site.
