Bright medium ruby. Aromatic, ripe nose of blackberry, pepper and baking spices. Dense, fresh and shapely, with brisk black fruit and olive flavors nicely firmed by harmonious acidity. Not especially complex or deep but offers excellent balance. The vines here are young, but this site offers considerable promise for syrah. (ST)
