2012 Remoissenet Pere & Fils Chambertin-Clos de Beze Grand Cru

Vinous
Review Date: 01/2014he 2012 Chambertin Clos de Bèze is, not surprisingly, the most powerful and tightly-wound of Remoissenet's 2012 Grand Crus. At the same time, this is a fairly polished Bèze laced with high-toned floral notes and silky tannins. Rose petal, violet, red berry and spice notes leave a lasting impression on the finish. (AG)

Notes
Remoissenet Père et Fils works with fruit from Chambertin-Clos de Bèze in Gevrey-Chambertin. The site’s limestone-rich soils and favorable exposure yield wines of both structure and depth. The result is a Grand Cru that reflects its terroir with power, balance, and a clear sense of place.
