Domaine Karanika was founded by Laurens Hartman-Karanika and Annette van Kampen, a Dutch-based couple who left publishing careers in 2004 to pursue their vision of producing world-class, traditionally made sparkling wines. Drawn to the Xinomavro grape, they established themselves in Amyndeo, Greece, focusing on organic, low-intervention methods to craft precise, elegant wines. Their philosophy centers on working in harmony with nature - adapting to each vintage, minimizing manipulation, and farming biodynamically with natural treatments, composting, and lunar cycles. The result is a portfolio of wines that emphasize purity, balance, and a strong expression of terroir. The Brut Rose is a blend of 98% Xinomavro and 2% Limniona. It is aged for 9-18 months sur latte before disgorgement.
