Broglia is a family estate in Gavi in Piemonte, built around La Meirana, a thousand-year-old property purchased in 1972 by entrepreneur Bruno Broglia from Count Edilio Raggio and planted with Cortese across 65 of its 100 hectares. The first wine was bottled in 1974, the same year the Gavi DOC was established, and the estate is now managed by the third generation of the Broglia family. The Villa Broglia label designates the estate's Gavi del Comune di Gavi bottling, produced from vines within the boundaries of the medieval village of Gavi itself, with wines unified exclusively in stainless steel to preserve the variety's characteristic mineralità.
