Checkerboard Vineyards is an estate on the southeast-facing slope of Diamond Mountain in Napa Valley, comprising a winery, cave, and four vineyard sites connected by a two-and-a-half-mile drive spanning the valley floor to the top of the ridge. Aurora is one of the estate's single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon bottlings produced from this Diamond Mountain terrain.
