2025 Ameztoi Getariako Txakolina

The Ameztoi Winery is a historic, family-run estate located in the coastal Basque town of Getaria, where five generations have cultivated vineyards overlooking the Bay of Biscay. Founded in its modern form in 1994, the winery specializes in producing traditional txakoli wines under the Getariako Txakolina designation of origin, primarily using the indigenous Hondarribi Zuri grape. Ameztoi Getariako Txakolina is their signature white wine, known for its light body, low alcohol content, and natural spritz created by retained carbon dioxide during bottling. The wine is crisp and refreshing, with bright acidity and distinctive citrus, green apple, and slightly saline notes that reflect its seaside terroir.
