Review Date: 02/2010The 2007 Pinot Noir Terra Neuma has sweet black cherry and forest floor notes in its very complex, fragrant aromatics. In the mouth, it is medium to full-bodied, deep, velvety textured, and broad, with a hint of fresh porcini mushrooms intermixed with blue and red fruits, damp earth, and underbrush. (RP)

(a certified biodynamic vineyard) Medium red. Seductive, highly perfumed aromas of black raspberry, anise, rose and black cardamom are underscored by a smoky mineral quality. Vibrant, sharply focused red and dark berry flavors are impressively concentrated, picking up a brisk, peppery quality on the back end. Expands and gains sweetness on the finish, which strongly echoes the licorice and pepper notes. Impressive as this is today, I'd bet on it rewarding another few years of patience. You shouldn't feel guilty drinking it now though. (ST)

Deep but still classic ruby. The barest trace of wood sets off impressively complex aromas of red and black currant, earth tones and a hint of anise that discreetly continue onto the textured, round and seductive middle weight flavors that also belie a trace of oak though again, it's sufficiently subtle that it doesn't intrude. The delicious and attractively lingering finish displays no obvious warmth while delivering good depth and this should be capable of integrating the wood within the first year as there is plenty of dry extract present.
