Jérémy Carteret, a Burgundy native from La Rochepot, emerged as an independent vigneron after nine years working alongside Benjamin Leroux, where he also completed his first personal winemaking in 2019. His background is rooted in viticulture: his father spent over three decades at Domaine du Comte Armand. Carteret formally trained through an apprenticeship and later earned a diploma in viticulture and oenology in Montpellier. He launched his own estate, À Fleur de Peau, in 2022, producing around 40 barrels and capping output at 12,000 bottles. His methods emphasize organic viticulture, whole-cluster fermentations, ambient yeasts, vertical pressing, and aging in barrels and clay jars, with minimal sulfur additions.
