Absolutely gorgeous, the 2023 Syrah IX Estate comes all from the estate vineyard on the top of Pritchard Hill and was destemmed and brought up all in barrel. It offers up heavenly aromatics of gamey black and blue fruits, sage, California bay, pepper, and subtle violet-driven nuances. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with a pure, layered mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, integrated acidity, and a great finish. This truly world-class Syrah will benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age and keep for 15-20 years. It comes closest in style in my mind to the 2013. Drink 2030-2050. (Drink between 2030-2050) (AG)
