Review Date: 07/2025The 2023 Zinfandel Sonoma Valley is a deeper purple/red color and delivers more deep aromatics, with elegant notes of dark chocolate, fresh plums, pressed flowers, and pine needles. The palate is spicy, with a good deal of structure, and will drink well over the coming 10-15 years. (AF)

The 2023 Zinfandel (Sonoma Valley), a first for Carlisle, is made exclusively from sites in Sonoma Valley. Dried herbs, sage, mint, incense and wild cherry are front and center. Brisk acids and beams of tannin shape this super-expressive Zinfandel. Savory and peppery top notes explode on the finish. Vineyard sites are Old Hill, Pagani Ranch and Rossi Ranch. (AG)
