Very mineral, very fresh, and very good, the Pucelles from Alvina Pernot offers a bright, lemon and gooseberry fruit with a salty edge and a hint of lees. The texture is lively, with medium body, abundant tension, and impressive length. Alvina's husband, Philippe Abadie, explains that they don't want the wine to be overly marked by the maturation, so they have used little new oak and have already bottled it.(CC)
