Clos de la Garenne is a speciality of the Pernot family, separate from the rest of La Garenne and right next to Folatières; they and the Duc de Magenta are the only proprietors. The vineyard has delivered a classic wine in 2024, with a bright lemon peel and gooseberry fruit, a hint of smoky reduction and a fine underlying flinty minerality. This wine would be better with three to five years in the bottle before opening, and will easily age for 10 to 20 years.(CC)

A clear pale lemon yellow. The nose has a certain finesse, not especially demonstrative. Very good tension on the palate, citrus and white fruit, fair length here, indeed the fruit clearly stretches out further than the Chalumaux. Picked at optimum ripeness. Drink from 2029-2033. Tasted Oct 2025.
