The Meursault Poruzot from Alvina Pernot amply demonstrates her ability to transform purchased grapes. This is marked by her trademark style, without being overly mannered. There is a bright, sweet lemon peel and passion fruit aroma, with understated hints of smoky reduction, white flowers and spice. The texture is ripe and round, particularly for 2024. Pernot barrels down with most of the lees, and the wine is fermented and aged without racking until right before bottling.(CC)
