Coming from a cooler portion of the valley, just north of the town of Napa, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot, and 1% Malbec aged 18 months in 40% new French oak and 60% used French oak barrels. It has a vivid purple hue as well as crème de cassis, red plum, graphite, chalky mineral, and rose and floral nuances. It's medium to full-bodied, has a nicely concentrated, structured, tannic mouthfeel, solid mid-palate depth, and a great finish. It's impeccably made and can compete with wines twice its price. Drink 2025-2040.

The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is a blend of all 26 blocks on the property. Soft, pliant and inviting, the 2023 is a total delight. Best of all, it can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring.
