2024 Villota "Selvanevada" Blanco Rioja

I have a soft spot for Spanish white wines. They're often aromatic, fruity, fresh, and low in acidity—exactly the style I find myself reaching for. Selvanevada Blanco is a great example. The blend is beautifully put together. Viura brings fruity aromas, with floral and honeydew notes. Tempranillo Blanco adds a touch of acidity along with tropical and citrus notes that give the wine extra texture and richness. Grenache Blanc contributes pear and apple notes that keep everything lively and bright. Six months on the lees, along with time in neutral French oak, add layers and depth without taking away from the wine's freshness. This is the kind of bottle I'll happily open for no particular reason at all.
