Miguel Torres buys grapes for this Cordillera from the Talinay Vineyard, about 12 kilometers from the sea in the Limarí Valley, a vineyard on granitic limestone soil that has produced some of the best examples of chardonnay in Chile. This one has the character of the place, the saline tones that those calcareous soils give, but combined with ripe white fruit in a generous, succulent body that is also full of sharp and intense acidity.

The Cordillera de los Andes range allows Eduardo Jordan the chance to source grapes from some of the most favoured sites in the country. This Chardonnay hails from the Talinay vineyard and is typically pithy and focused, even in a hot vintage, with some texture from 10% malolactic, citrus, pear and oatmeal flavours and a sappy finish.

Oyster shell and white orchard fruit aromas with creamy almond and pear notes. The silky palate offers a vibrant, refreshing finish with wet stone minerality, and hints of tropical fruit and vanilla. Refined and enjoyable. (AB)
