2015 Modus Operandi "Farella Vineyard" Coombesville Cabernet Sauvignon

Review Date: 01/2019The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard is another 100% Cabernet that was raised all in new French oak, yet you’d never know that by tasting the wine. Similarly deep purple/ruby colored, it offers a darker, earthy style in its blackberry and plum fruits, roasted herbes de Provence, grilled meats, and a gravelly, Graves-like sense of earthiness and tobacco. Ripe, full-bodied, and sexy on the palate, it’s another rocking 2015 that has tons of character. Drink it anytime over the coming 20-25 years.

Composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 22 months in 100% new French oak, the deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard has a seriously earthy/savory nose with aromas of rosemary/lamb with a cassis and warm plums core with hints of bay leaves and garrigue. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm, grainy and lively with layers of mineral-laced black fruits and a long finish. (LPB)
