2018 Domaine Pierre Boisson Meursault "Les Criots"

Notes

Pierre Boisson is part of a Meursault family that has been making wine for over two centuries, now working alongside his sister Anne in what was long known as Domaine Boisson-Vadot. The estate farms roughly 10 hectares across Meursault, Auxey-Duresses, Monthélie, and the Hautes-Côtes, producing wines under the Pierre Boisson and Anne Boisson labels. Winemaking is deliberately restrained: indigenous yeasts, minimal lees settling, and a long 19–22-month élevage in barrel, with only 25–30% new oak for top cuvées. The style is classic, soil-driven, and racy, emphasizing old-vine parcels and patient cellar work. Production remains small—around 3,000–4,000 cases annually—and the wines have developed a near-cult following for their precision and terroir clarity.
