Deep crimson with aromas of macerated satsuma plum, black cherry and blackberry fruits with hints of Christmas cake, pressed flowers, cocoa powder, dark chocolate, espresso, earth and licorice. Creamy oak and plush black fruits flow on the palate, which shows superfine silty tannins, a touch of panforte and a sustained finish. (DB)

A balanced and fruity shiraz showing notes of dark cherries, dark spices and sweet blueberries. Medium- to full-bodied with fine, firm tannins. Lightly spicy finish of good length, with plenty of blue fruit and violets. (ZS)

Classic Barossa Shiraz aromas of ripe blackcurrant, plum and blackberry fruit alongside pepper spice, licorice and black olive nuances commence. The fruit is plush and plump but there's succulence and refreshment here thanks to a good lick of acidity. Tannins take a back seat, making this an approachable wine now, but one that could age a few years, too. (CP)
