Dark cherry, plum, menthol, licorice and pine notes meld together in Beaulieu's Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Maestro Collection BV Ranch No. 2. The 2011 has good energy and tension, but the aromas are just a touch forward, which leads me to believe it won't be especially long-lived. Still, this is a solid effort in a challenging vintage. (AG)
