The 2024 Alois Lageder Misto Mare is an innovative field blend from the Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT, created as a "gateway" wine for the estate’s partners who are currently in the three-year process of transitioning to organic and biodynamic certification. It is a unique "white" vinification of over 14 different grape varieties—including both red and white grapes—co-fermented to capture the historical diversity of Alto Adige. The wine presents a delicate blush or straw-yellow hue with an aromatic profile of fuzzy peach, jasmine, and citrus. On the palate, it is crisp and medium-bodied with a subtle saline minerality, reflecting the ancient marine sediments of the Dolomites for which it is named. To maintain its high-energy tension, the 2024 vintage was aged primarily in stainless steel with a portion resting on the lees for three months.
