2004 Il Paradiso di Frassina "Gea" Sant' Antimo

Il Paradiso di Frassina sits just north of Montalcino, a site inhabited since at least 1000 AD and restored beginning in 1999 by Carlo Cignozzi. The estate is renowned for its “Mozart Vineyard,” where more than a hundred speakers broadcast Mozart’s music among Sangiovese vines as part of long-term scientific research supported by the Universities of Florence and Pisa to study sound-wave effects on vine growth and resilience. The winery produces Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino using traditional methods, with grapes grown in a landscape shaped by Val d’Orcia’s soils and climate. The cellar continues the musical environment, integrating sound into both vineyard and aging practices.
