Reviewed January 2025Like Les Forges, the wood shows in the plumper nose, there being one new 500 barrel out of two, though Cras tends to be more aquiline. Very much a limestone feel to the nose as well, following up on the palate, with a light citrus note. Philippe finds the soil similar to Chevalier-Montrachet in that when you plough you feel the slabs of stone moving below. Drink from 2027-2032. Tasted Oct 2024.

Ripe and fresh aromas possess plenty of floral character that adds a touch of elegance to the pear compote and citrus confit aromas. The rich medium-bodied flavors are seductive, even suave, thanks to the abundant dry extract that imparts a sappy quality to the lightly stony and lingering finish that is borderline tannic.
