An admirably deft application of wood sets off the decidedly cool aromas of Granny Smith apple, white flowers and mineral reduction. The texture of the middle weight flavors is notably finer and more mineral-driven, though not nearly as rich, while displaying good tension on the ever-so-slightly sweet finish that comes up a bit short. I suspect that this will better round into form once it's in bottle as it's somewhat awkward today and my projected range offers the benefit of the doubt.
