What was an expressive and airy nose from cask has become low key and brooding though it remains impressively deep and still features red, black and violet aromas that continue onto the supple, round and notably sweet flavors that are textured and mouth coating with ample extract that renders the tannins almost invisible on the solidly long and silky finish. This will be accessible relatively early in the context of the vintage yet still require all of a decade to really arrive at its peak.
