The E. Pira Chiara Boschis Barolo Chinato is a rare, artisanal digestif made by infusing a base of estate Barolo with a secret blend of approximately 30 herbs, spices, and barks. Named after the Cinchona (China) bark that provides its characteristic quinine bitterness, it is balanced with organic Sicilian orange peel, rhubarb, cardamom, and brown sugar. The resulting wine is intense and concentrated, showing a complex profile of Parma violets, cinnamon, dark cherries, and medicinal herbs with a long, bittersweet finish. It is bottled in a 500ml format with 18% alcohol and is traditionally served at room temperature alongside dark chocolate or blue cheeses.
