The 1976 Sercial, a special release to celebrate the 250th anniversary of US independence, was aged in the "canteiro" system in oak casks at room temperature for almost 50 years. It's clear, crystalline and bright, with a golden topaz hue and golden reflections. It has an herbal nose with notes of yellow fruit and salted almonds. It comes in at 21% alcohol, with a pH of 3.15 and 65 grams of sugar. The palate is vibrant, with pungent acidity and a bittersweet twist in the finish. Only 192 bottles produced. It was bottled in 2025. (LG)
