Wow! This really turns it up a few notches!! If you’ve been disappointed that 1er Cru white Burgundy has been priced out of your reach this wine should restore your faith in humanity. There’s such beautifully-delineated fruit that feels precise and pure framed by racy acidity and fantastic energy. For under $40 this is an outrageous bargain.

From 35-year-old vines, the 2024 Château Vitallis Pouilly-Fuissé "Les Perrières" undergoes natural fermentation on its fine lees in oak barrels where it rests for 11 months, then is racked and aged a further 6 months in tanks. It's neat and precise with white peach, apple, cardamom, honeyed lemon, a hint of toasted hazelnut and a whisper of smoky flint. I adore this! It's another fantastic Burgundian value that hugely overdelivers. This is the fifth wine I've tasted from the 2024 Château Vitallis lineup and all are impressive. This Direct Import darling is definitely one to watch.

Of the entire line of Vitallis Pouilly-Fuisse, this one was the most stone fruit dominant to me. It has moderate richness and very fresh flavors of tart white peach, apricot and ginger spice. There are some extremely interesting tropical fruit flavors of guava and persimmon. Like the others in this line, the finish with citrus fruits.
