The 2023 Pinot Noir Lindsay Paige Vineyard is Alfaro's smallest bottling at just six barrels, yet it is one of its flagship vineyards, established in 1997. It was matured in 33% new wood and is the only single-vineyard Pinot Noir produced without whole clusters. It opens with a woody and relatively ripe bouquet that remains impressively poised and alluring, introducing a fittingly lush, powerful and enveloping palate. The finish is currently quite buttoned up, featuring a dark-fruited core with retronasal perfume and lingering salinity.
