Reviewed April 2025Cabernet Franc was meant to be this good. Violet and freshly-sharpened-pencil aromas frolic on the nose revealing the core aromas of Bourgueil that are bolstered by black plum and a background of red raspberry. A svelte, lean palate of well-integrated red fruit abounds without being ostentatious. (RS)

On the north bank of the Loire, Bourgueil is one of Touraine’s established Cabernet Franc appellations. Domaine les Pins’ 2022 "Les Clos" represents that grape and place, where vineyards occupy both gravel terraces near the river and limestone slopes farther uphill - a defining geographical contrast within Bourgueil.
