Notes
Corsica is one of the great, off-the-radar regions for wine production. The vineyards for Petroni date back to 1885 and are surrounded by the Corsican mountains to the west and the Mediterranean to the east. The property is now in the hands of brothers Jacques and Francois Ramazotti. Like most classic rosés of this region, it is a blend of 50% Niellucciu, 35% Sciaccarellu, and 15% Grenache. How to describe this Corsican rosé? It is one of the finest of its kind with notes of nectarine, peach blossom, and white flowers. It is succulent with wonderful acidity and a viscous mouthfeel. (Keith Mabry, K&L French Regional Buyer)
