Review Date: 01/2025An even bright crimson. A little fresh cherry fruit on the nose, definitely in the crunchy style on the palate too, with good length and quite fine tannins. The plots are 42 and 35 years old. Drink from 2028-2032. Tasted Oct 2024.

This is also aromatically quite expressive with its cool and pure nose featuring the essence of red pinot fruit along with more prominent earth influence. The vibrant and attractively textured, if not particularly dense, flavors flash a subtle minerality on the lightly rustic and markedly firmer finale. This well-made effort should repay 5 to 8 years of keeping.

The 2023 Pommard Les Cras offers red berry fruit mixed with chalk and light undergrowth scents on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit and, again, a little chalkiness in texture such that you might mistakenly detect the presence of stems here. There is just a little hardness on the finish at the moment.(NM)
