2023 Domaine Michel Bouzereau Bourgogne Blanc Cote d'Or
BH
Burghound
Review Date: 06/2025Note: the Bouzereau holdings have grown to fully 4 ha and the vines are located in both Meursault and Puligny. Pretty, airy and fresh aromas include those of white flower, apple and a touch of anise. There is solid volume and punch to the delicious middle weight flavors that possess a refined texture for a wine of this level, all wrapped in a saline-inflected and lingering finish where the only nit is a touch of warmth. Good stuff.*Burghound Outstanding Top Value!*

60% below Meursault and 40% Puligny-Montrachet, covering three hectares. Quite a yellow colour, immediately plump and juicy with some ripe plum notes. Cheerful fruit but quite warm and not as long as sometimes. Drink young. Citrus with orange peel, fresher when retasted without having left it too long in the glass. Some muskiness. Drink from 2026-2027. Tasted Oct 2024.

The 2023 Bourgogne Côte d’Or has a pure and generous bouquet with lovely yellow plum and lemon zest aromas. The palate is well balanced with a lightly spiced entry, lilting yellow fruit and a dab of ginger on the finish. Delightful.(NM)
