James Suckling
Review Date: 10/2022Aromas of red cherries, ground cooking spice, dried herbs and bark. Medium- to full-bodied with silky, fruit-soaked tannins. Rather expressive and bright with driving acidity and lovely spicy complexity. Lingering and steady.

Notes
Murdoch Hill is a family-owned boutique winery located in the Adelaide Hills wine region of South Australia. The property has been in the Downer family since 1939, when the original farm was purchased by their grandfather. Vines were first planted on the land in 1998, marking the beginning of the estate’s modern winemaking history. Today the winery is run by third-generation winemaker Michael Downer, who focuses on producing high-quality cool-climate wines. Adelaide Hills provides ideal growing conditions, with cooler temperatures that help develop fresh, elegant flavors in the grapes.
