2023 Domaine Olivier Leflaive Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
98
James Suckling
Review Date: 05/2025White peaches, honey and sliced pineapple, with hints of flint and vanilla. It's full-bodied, racy and very long, with just a hint of vanilla cream kicking in at the end, after a minute or two! Terrific white. Drinkable now, but better in two or three years.

Notes
Bill Nanson Burgundy Report: "Domaine too, next to the egg of Anne-Claude – on the Puligny side. A calmer nose – though with evident concentration. Here is a wine of structure but concentration, that concentration ensuring no hard edges, softening as it melts. Complex, indeed delicious for such a baby. A really massive depth of finishing flavour – a wine apart – never too energetic just sustaining… That will be a great one."(01/2025)
