James Suckling
Reviewed August 2025The nose is subtle and floral, with a delicate hint of peaches. The palate is vibrant and electric, showing brightness and volume, with lovely balance between zesty acidity and fine texture. A blend of alvarinho, maria gomes and arinto, with 10% aged in barrels. (JGA)

Wine Advocate
The estate wine from their quinta is the 2024 Almanua, a blend of 50% Alvarinho, 25% Arinto and 25% Maria Gomes, fermented in stainless steel and 10% in foudre and barrels, where the wine matured for three months without malolactic. They have a sea breeze that you notice immediately when walking through the vineyards, and this gives the wine freshness. So, they added on the label the words "Terroir Marítimo" (sea terroir) and Coastal Selection. It's fruit-driven, young, fresh and clean, with 12.5% alcohol and very good acidity. (LG)
Notes
Almanua "Terroir Maritimo" is a srill Vinho produced from Alvarinho, Arinto, and Maria Gomes. The wine has fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel and in oak vats. After the fermentation process, the wine satyed in contact with fine lees, where it was subjected to a regular stirring prior to blending and bottling..
