Aromas of botanical herb, ripe berry and blue flower mingle with a whiff of hay on the 2021 Rombone Elisa. On the full-bodied, savory palate, notes of orange rind, star anise and peppercorn accent a red cherry core. Firm, fine-grained tannins provide serious support while bright acidity keeps it balanced. Still youthfully austere, it needs time. (KO)

Treiso. Concentrated mid ruby. At first quite sweet and concentrated on the nose and with hints of garden herbs. Great focus of supple red fruit on the palate with the perfect dose of ripe acidity. Finely grained tannins add bite to the long, juicy fruit finish. (WS) 17.5+

f the Cichin Riserva is the brooding, muscular patriarch of Ada Nada's lineup, the Elisa is its electric, high-tension counterpart. Rather than the dense, balsamic weight of the Riserva, the Elisa offers a laser-focused, high-toned nose. It explodes from the glass with crushed wild rose, white pepper, and a distinctly "crunchy" core of sour cherry and pomegranate. There is a pure, stony minerality here that feels incredibly fresh, lifted, and directly tied to the white soils of Treiso. t completely bypasses mid-palate fat, driving forward with a tense, saline snap that literally makes your mouth water. The 2021 tannic grid is absolutely present—firm, chalky, and demanding—but it provides a strict architectural cage that frames the vibrant fruit without ever turning dry or aggressive. 2021 Bartbaresco is a love letter to Nebbiolo.

Notes

Ada Nada’s 'Rombone' Barbaresco 2021 is a structured and expressive cru bottling from Treiso, showcasing the purity and finesse of Nebbiolo. The nose is vibrant and complex, with aromas of red cherry, rose petal, and orange peel, layered with notes of anise, earth, and crushed herbs. On the palate, firm tannins and fresh acidity frame a core of bright red fruit, floral tones, and mineral depth. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering spice and savory nuance. A classic, terroir-driven Barbaresco with aging potential and precision.
