Stylishly aged in a combination of French and 30% American oak, this has impressive old-vine concentration, plenty of colour, intensity and presence, fleshy tannins, fig and blackberry fruit and the acidity that's a feature of many 2021 Ribera reds.

The 2021 Viña Sastre Crianza from La Horra, Ribera del Duero was aged for 14 months in 70% French and 30% American oak, both new and used. Aromas of dried plum, coconut, cedar and a hint of violet rise from the glass. The palate is concentrated and plush, with a compact core and chalky texture balanced by juicy flow. Intense and flavorful, it delivers the structure typical of La Horra. (JH)
