High West’s 2026 Bourye is a meticulously blended limited release that marries the richness of mature bourbon with the spice and structure of well-aged rye. This year’s edition includes three sourced whiskeys aged over ten years: a 75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley bourbon from MGP; a 60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley rye from MGP; and a 78% corn, 10% rye, 12% malted barley bourbon from Kentucky. The result is a harmonious whiskey that showcases the best elements of both categories. On the nose, expect warm notes of butterscotch, fig jam, citrus peel, cinnamon, and sandalwood. The palate unfolds with layers of caramelized sugar, spiced orange tea, maple-glazed pecans, and gingerbread, lifted by herbal rye spice and a thread of honeyed oak.
