Reviewed January 2024This one definitely has a firm handshake with tingly acidity, lightly gruff tannins and a compressed mid palate. But the perfumes are promising with hints of blueberries, roasted cranberries and beef jerky. Give this a few years to come together and let the youthful tension dissipate a bit.

Note: 45+ year old vines. A more floral-suffused nose of violet and lavender enjoys additional breadth in the form of earth, spice, ripe black currant and a strong suggestion of the sauvage. There is a lovely minerality suffusing the reasonably dense and intense middleweight flavors that exhibit excellent length on the youthfully austere, serious and compact finale that offers even better depth. Lovely though note well that this is very much built-to-age and a wine that's going to require at least some patience. In a word, excellent.*Burghound Outstanding!*

Bill Nanson Burgundy Report: "A little less spice and a more smoky impression to this larger scale nose – much larger than the Lavaux today – adding a more direct and clean style as the air interacts with it. Hmm, that’s very classy in the mouth – mineral, cool, mobile energy – an obvious fluidity to these mouth-watering flavours and growing really broad and impressive in the finish – this is showing wonderfully well today – bravo!"(01/2024)
