Review Date: 01/2025Note: from 50 to 60+ year old vines in Champ Perrier on the Brochon side. Subtle though still easily discerned wood is present on the equally brooding and overtly sauvage-inflected black cherry and forest floor aromas. The solidly concentrated and quite powerful medium-bodied flavors also exude evident minerality on the serious and lingering finish where the abundant sap buffers the even firmer tannic spine shaping the powerful and impressively long finale. This too is an excellent, and age-worthy, Gevrey villages that's worth checking out.*Burghound Outstanding!*

Bill Nanson Burgundy Report: "On the Brochon side of the village with more altitude. 50-85-year-old vines here. Also the common oak spice of this cellar. Impressively concentrated but balanced with good fluidity. Here is extra depth again – really holding well. I’d drink the Clos Prieur sooner because of its more perfumed tones but this is built to age, despite its accessibility – keep it if you can – delicious wine! ‘Yep – since the bottling it’s quite open but I think it will tighten’"(01/2024)
